I picked my topic because I can relate to it. I am a Christian attending UC Blue Ash and I am within the age range I picked (ages 18-21).
As a young Christian woman attending college, I think about life through a biblical lens. I’ve noticed that young adults my age don’t seem to speak about the Bible or make decisions based on biblical principles. This lead me to question if I was the only person in my age range attending college that still valued Christianity and biblical principle.
I have heard plenty of people my age claim Christianity, but I questioned how many of them attend church, how many of them read the Bible, and of the people who read the Bible how do they interpret the Bible? Some people have loose interpretations, while others are completely skeptical towards the Bible.
It is important to understanding the people around me (peers) and how things have changed concerning religion. I plan on exploring the question by interviewing the head of the Christian Club at UCBA and observing the club during one of their weekly meetings. I will also research by reading scholarly articles concerning young adults and the Bible.
