For Major Assignment 3, it took a major shift to make a new creation. It’s not just a major shift due to the new creation, but it is a major shift because it calls for different software and major imagery. This is also a major shift for me because I am not a tech heavy or image heavy person. Visuals have never been something I had to do a lot, especially not in English class.
The “gives” is that there’s no new research to be done, and that software is doing a lot of the work for project 3. The “takes” is that I have to figure out how to use the software, and I have to find the proper software. This is particularly hard for someone who is not at all tech savvy. I also have to consider that my new creation has to be meaningful. I can recreate something in to art, but while using a new software, it will be hard to keep the strong meaningful context.
I honestly do not feel like I have read anything that speaks about the shifting of this writing. In this class the articles we have read concerned audience, genre, cultural diversity, and discourse communities. Other books that I have read concerned changing environments and individual life struggles. These things do not help with or relate to changing a writing in to a meaningful piece of imagery.
